New Year Resolutions

New Year Resolutions

Sunrise, 2018

What’s the best way to welcome the New Year?

Some stayed up late watching the splendid fireworks while others got up so early to catch the glorious sunrise. I celebrated this day by watching the warm and hopeful sunrise.

Time creeps up on us.

It is something that always moves on and never returns. When we live a day without doing anything meaningful or achieving anything, we may think there is still tomorrow.  But tomorrow may never come if we remain inactive with such a mindset.

To go to bed by 10 pm, to exercise regularly, or to learn a new skill are on many people’s list. They are good goals for our wellbeing. But setting goals does not mean to do something phenomenal. Why don’t we try something new this year? How about minimizing our time on social media and increasing our family time and face-to-face interactions? Or stopping phubbing when we meet with friends and families? Or saying I love you, thank you, sorry more often each day?

Making resolutions is to walk out of our comfort zone, which is not really comfortable. However, it can make us better people this year than we were last year.

Let’s live a life without regret!

Cheers. :)
